Fredrick was born in 1868 in Rokewood, Victoria.  Fredrick's father was William AMOR and his mother was Ann Priscilla WHEELER.  His paternal grandparents were George AMOR and Unknown; his maternal grandparents were John WHEELER and Ruth WHEELER.  He had five brothers and five sisters, named George, William Jnr, George, Robert, Henry, Elizabeth, Ellen, Anne, Rebecca and Martha.  He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
