Martha was born in 1871 in Ondit, Victoria.  Martha's father was William AMOR and her mother was Ann Priscilla WHEELER.  Her paternal grandparents were George AMOR and Unknown; her maternal grandparents were John WHEELER and Ruth WHEELER.  She had six brothers and four sisters, named George, William Jnr, Fredrick, George, Robert, Henry, Elizabeth, Ellen, Anne and Rebecca.  She was the eighth oldest of the eleven children.
