Harriet Courtis BOURNE

Harriet was born on January 18th, 1821 in Brighton, Sussex, England and her baptism took place on June 15th, 1840 in Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Sydney conducted by minister John McGarvie. Harriet's father was William BOURNE and her mother was Catharine LEATHART. She had a sister named Elizabeth. She died from cancer, of the Uterus, at the age of 52 on July 5th, 1873 in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo. She was buried on July 11th, 1873 in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo, Grave Number 1049, Internment Number 05/131.¹

- Harriot was married to Francis Owen Leathart in Sydney NSW. In the Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Sydney on 15th June 1840. The minister was John MCGarvie, Minister of St Andrews Church. Religion - Presbyterian. The witnesses were JOshua Lovecraft, John M Sanders, Catherine Bourne, Elizabeth Bourne, John Rogers and Ann Wilcox, all of Sydney.
  
  Harriet died of Cancer to the Uterus, heamorage exhaustion.
