Ada was born in 1857 in Sandhurst, VIC, Australia.  Ada's father was Francis Owen LEATHART and her mother was Harriet Courtis BOURNE.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph LEATHART and Maria DAVIS; her maternal grandparents were William BOURNE and Catharine LEATHART. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Albert, Francis Jnr, Eliza, Mary, Alicia, Laura, Frances and Harriet.  She died at the age of 90 on May 4th, 1947 in Canterbury, VIC, Australia.  She was buried in Fawkner Cemetary, Garden of Remembrance 1, Compartment 40, Niche 43.
