George LEATHART

George was born on December 30th, 1772 in Featherstone Castle, Cumberland - Northumberland. George's father was John LEATHART and his mother was Elisabeth ELLIOT. His paternal grandparents were Cuthbert LEATHART and Margaret LEATHART. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, Cuthbert, Thomas, James, William, Joseph, Robert, Edward, Mary, Elizabeth, Frances, Anne and Margaret. He was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 80 on October 5th, 1853 in Sutton, Brome, Ontario, Canada.
