- William R Mitchell & Sarah Annie Mitchell Grave

William was born in 1884 in Wyuna VIC. William's father was John MITCHELL and his mother was Ellen AMOR. His paternal grandparents were Robert Quick MITCHELL and Jane JENNINGS; his maternal grandparents were William AMOR and Ann Priscilla WHEELER. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Henry, Frederick, Elizabeth, Ellen, Rebecca and Martha. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Pneumonia, at the age of 35 on August 23rd, 1919. He was buried in Nathalia Cemetery, Australia.

General Notes
- John's four sons became farmers - John (Jack) and Henry (George) moved out of the district to Wharparilla, Fred transferred his interests to the Echuca area in the 1920's, while Bob's property is still in Mitchell hands.
  
  Bob married Sarah Lenon at St Paul's Church of England, Wakiti Creek on 15th February 1910. Sarah was the daughter of former Kotupna residents George Johnston Lenon and Flora (nee McDonald).
  
  Four children were born to Bob and Sarah while they lived on "Landwreath" - Allotments 16, 19, 20a, Section F, in the Parish of Barwo. Bob tragically died from Pneumonia at the age of 35 on the 23rd August 1919.
  
  Shortly afterwards, Sarah sold the farm and moved to "Willowa" the property she and Bob had purchsed in Kotupna. Allotment 37 had once been owned by Sarah's father, and it was here that she reared her family, George (m Constance Officer), Ellen (Mrs Oscar Magnusson) Robert Quick (m Betty Armstrong) and John (m Kath Hanson).
  
  In the early 1950's she sold the property to her youngest son John. Sarah lived in Wyuna and Moama before moving to reside with her daughter Ellen, in Bendigo, where she died on 22nd June, 1964. She was buried beside her husband in the Nathalia Cemetary.
