George was born in 1876 in Gordon, Victoria, Australia.  George's father was George PALMER and his mother was Charlotte VENVILL.  His paternal grandparents were George PALMER and Mary FITZPATRICK. He had three sisters named Elizabeth, Annie and Sarah.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had three half-brothers named Joseph, Henry and Charles.  He died at the age of 61 in 1937 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.
